These horses are for private sale, not for adoption. Adoption policies, fees and contracts do not apply to horses advertised
on the Track Listing pages.

These horses are owned by their Race owners, not Friends of Ferdinand.

Friends of Ferdinand volunteers visit the backside of Hoosier Park and Indiana Downs every weekend during the race season. Horses whose racing careers are ending or had a lackluster beginning are offered here for sale.

Information given in these ads is information given to FFI volunteers by the owner, trainer, or agent.

Friends of Ferdinand is not responsible for misinformation or inaccurate descriptions. Buyer Beware.

Heights are an estimate. These horses have not been sticked.

If interested in seeing a horse, please call the owner/trainer/agent directly to make an appointment. Their name and phone number is given in the text of the ad.

Please do not call unless you are a serious buyer. Trainers are very busy people, and non-serious inquiries are considered a waste of their time and make them not want to list future horses with FFI.

You cannot ride a horse if it is still at the track. You can ask to have it jogged in-hand, you can make your appointment at a time that you can watch it race, or exercised.

You cannot bring a vet onto the backside of the track that is not licensed with the Racing Commission. If you would like a vet check,
we can give you the contact information for vets that routinely work at the track.

Out FlankEm
8 year-old dappled grey gelding

Out Flankem is a thoroughbred racehorse that needs to retire from racing and find a new career. Affectionately known in the stable as "The Big Horse", Outflankem stands at least 16.3 hands. He is an 8 yr old gelding with beautiful gray dapples and a dark mane and tail. This horse has no stall vices and is quite simply "no problem at all". He is quiet and easy going, usually led only by the halter at the track. Owner says that he is sound and does not believe that he has any injuries that would restrict his next career. Will John
4 year-old Gelding

Will is lightly raced and kinda slow. He has about 10 starts and has yet to break his maiden. He needs a little time off and should be sound for flat and pleasure riding. He was a very good boy while posing for his pictures and his owners say he is more puppy dog than racehorse. He certainly enjoyed the time we loved him up! Owner states that he has a sore knee, no stall vices, trailers well and stands for the vet and farrier.

Mocha Martini - PRICED REDUCED

Mocha had some hind-end weakness last year and was fully treated for EPM. She has since recovered fully and returned to the track. However everyone feels that she needs a less stressful and demanding job. Her owner has spent quite a bit of money bringing her back to soundness and he just wants her to find a good home. Princess Moro
5 year-old dark bay mare
15.2-15.3 hands tall

Check out this mare! Princess Moro is a beautiful black thoroughbred with lots of flash and soft, gentle eyes that needs to leave the race track behind for a second career. She is 5 years old and stands 15.3h. Despite the commotion of the track, Princess was attentive and very well mannered for pictures. Her owner says that she is 100% sound with a nice disposition and no stall vices. Princess is retiring from racing and has to be out of her stall in two weeks to make room for another horse, so don't wait to contact Tracy at 734- 718- 3507. $1000 firm.
